Lipsky is a local name from the German region of Westphalia. Leungo Lippe pays homage to his relatives of the Lipsky family and has created a bar and restaurant on the other side of the world in their name.
Lipsky & Sons is a continuation of Leungo’s heritage, and his culinary experiences are reflected in his restaurant.
Leungo is a master meat chef, his Wanaka restaurant and bar is the place to go for fine meats and seafood. It features a separate bar and dining room, courtyard, oyster bar, grill, great beverage list and private dining room. Available for event and large group hire.
The restaurant (Garden Room) is a well decorated generous room, able to cater for large groups. The space includes a separate lush private dining room for up to 10 people. (We are currently not using the Garden Room, but dining in the bar room)
(In essence, this Wanaka restaurant can serve you food from 4pm until late.)
Lipsky & Sons has a separate bar, ideal for large groups or more intimate moments. A spacious courtyard is positioned in between the bar and restaurant – think sunny afternoons or après ski with the large fireplace.
Serving favourite local Central Otago wines, alongside some unexpected choices to add intrigue to your experience, tap beers, including local and international favourites, a great selection of spirits, with amazing seasonal cocktails. Enjoy with some delicious share plates, and something from the raw oyster and charcuterie bars.
